Overview

The Ontario Queer Chamber of Commerce (OQCC) is seeking a talented and experienced graphic designer to create a new logo that reflects the values, mission, and diversity of our organization. This logo will be a key element in our branding and will be used across various formats, including print, digital platforms, social media, and large-scale installations.

We encourage applications from queer artists; however, all submissions will be evaluated based on their merit, creativity, and ability to meet the requirements outlined in this RFP.

Project Scope

The selected designer will be responsible for:

  1. Designing a versatile, inclusive, and modern logo that represents the OQCC’s mission and community.
  2. Providing logo variations optimized for:
    • Print materials (e.g., brochures, letterheads, business cards).
    • Digital platforms (e.g., website, social media, email campaigns).
    • Large formats (e.g., banners, signage).
  3. Delivering the final logo in multiple file formats, including vector (.ai, .eps) and raster (.png, .jpg), with transparent background options.
  4. Ensuring the logo maintains visual integrity and readability across different sizes and mediums.
  5. Provide a detailed budget for website construction. ( Can arrange a discussion on scope to provide a more accurate quote.)

Submission Requirements

Interested candidates should submit the following:

  1. Portfolio: Examples of past logo designs and branding projects, particularly those showcasing versatility across formats.
  2. Proposal Letter: Brief introduction, outlining why you’re the right fit for this project and how your work aligns with OQCC’s mission.
  3. Draft Concept (Optional but encouraged): A preliminary sketch or description of your approach to the OQCC logo design.
  4. Budget Estimate: A breakdown of costs for the project, including any revisions.
  5. Timeline: Proposed timeline for project completion, including key milestones.

Selection Criteria

Submissions will be evaluated based on:

  • Creativity and originality of past work.
  • Experience designing logos for diverse organizations.
  • Understanding of queer culture and inclusivity in design.
  • Ability to deliver a logo optimized for multiple uses and formats.
  • Budget and timeline feasibility.
